About Ginger S MacDonald

TastyFaith was created by Ginger Sinsabaugh MacDonald, who left advertising to help youth leaders and outreach programs create a craving for Christ with non-believers. Ginger was frustrated that the average dog food commercial was more memorable than the typical Sunday sermon. She was also frustrated that Sprite, Nike, and MTV took urban teens more seriously than many Christian organizations.

She never lived on Gilligan's Island. Ginger grew up in a small farm town in Southwestern Michigan that had more cows than people. Ginger made Christ the heart of her life during her final weeks at Michigan State University in 1983, due to the impact a dorm resident had on her life. This young lady presented Christ to Ginger as something you want , instead of something you need . Though Ginger cannot remember this Christian girl's name, she has not forgotten the impact she has had on her life.

Once graduating college, Ginger moved to Chicago split her time between advertising and urban youth ministry. She worked on tv commercials you didn't T-Vo away because uh, the technology wasn't invented yet.

But 1996, Ginger realized there's more to life than Snap! Crackle! Pop! She took a leave of absence from advertising to work with teens in London and Bulgaria. Once she returned to Chicago, Ginger walked away from her job and title at a major ad agency, a decision which deeply moved management.

In 1999 Ginger wrote her first book, ACT NOW! This fun book applied marketing principles to sharing one's faith. You can get a taste of it in The Crave Factor

In 2000 Help Arrives! Ginger talked to urban youth leaders across the country to write HELP! I'M AND URBAN YOUTH WORKER , realizing city teens everywhere faced the same issues (gangs, teen pregnancy, broken homes, lack of education). Ginger created fresh lessons for urban youth ministry and made urban resources available to other youth workers at this website.

In 2001, TastyFaith.com was founded to help urban youth leaders create a craving for Christ with high risk youth. Ginger is the top cookie, spearheading hot resources that connect hope to non sugar coated issues from teen pregnancy to violence, literacy and broken homes. Now, TastyFaith materials are being used by urban outreach programs around the world. Some of TastyFaith's most popular materials include Bible studies and faith based materials for teen moms and pregnant teens.
